Welcome to our office! We are excited that you are considering orthodontic treatment. Be ready to begin a life-changing experience, one that will guarantee results worth smiling about! As a first-time patient, it is recommended that you bring with you all the paperwork provided in the New Patient Package. After meeting Dr. Rooney and our staff for a complimentary exam we will determine whether or not treatment is needed.

There are three possible outcomes after the exam:

• Treatment is needed now.
• Treatment is not needed at all.
• Treatment will be needed in the future but is not appropriate at the current time.

If treatment is necessary now, an appointment for diagnostic records is scheduled at your convenience. Diagnostic records consist of 8 digital photos of patient's face and teeth, radiographs (commonly referred to as X-rays) and digital study models. Dr. Rooney will then be able to make a thorough diagnosis and determine the best course of treatment.

From there, a consultation appointment is scheduled where financials, duration of treatment and other details are discussed. After the consultation, treatment begins!

Regular Visits

Getting your appliances on is the longest appointment and generally takes between 1 -2 hours. After braces are placed we generally like to see our patients every 4-6 weeks for checks and adjustments. These appointments typically last between 20-40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and we ask that our patients extend the same courtesy to us. If for any reason you cannot keep an appointment please notify us as soon as possible.

Payment and Office Policies

Cost

You will be able to discuss costs and payment options before treatment begins. We have several payment plans to suit different budgets. Before coming to our office, we can verify your orthodontic insurance coverage with a subscriber ID or social security number.

Fees

In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:

• If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee courtesy.
• Second child or immediate family member in treatment is offered a fee courtesy.
• To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
• For your convenience, we accept payment by credit card.
